Carlisle Events

Explore Carlisle ,

you will learn that

the Carlisle area is a

great place to visit

and live.

A lot happens here in Carlisle during the year. We start out with the Annual Dinner at which time we recognize a person as Citizen of the Year and a person as Friend of Education. These individuals are chosen by the residents as outstanding citizens who have volunteered their time/talents for the betterment of the community. This year is the first time we have also designated a Business of the Year which is the Carlisle Community School District . This business was chosen not only because it is the largest employer in the community, but also because the school is very community minded.

There are other events throughout the year such as: The Garden Party which is always the first Saturday in June, the Tractor Show and the Community Family Bike Ride/Breakfast.

We can’t forget the 4 th of July Celebration which boosts one of the largest parades and fireworks display in this area. Also, the Carlisle Area Historical Society, hosts a Civil War Enactment on July 5 th with an Abraham Lincoln actor that was a very impressive.

There is a Pumpkinfest in October, and the year ends with the annual Light Up Carlisle celebration.
