Executive Board Meeting
May 3rd, 2007 12:00 p.m.
Carlisle Chamber Board Room, 325 Garfield St., Carlisle, Ia.
Members present:
President Tammy Davis, Les Hartshorn, Dr.
Jennifer Olson, Dee Smith, Tom Wagenknecht and Dan Crum
Also attending, Shar Pardubsky from the GDM
Partnership.
1. Open Meeting:
President Davis
opened the meeting at 12:06 p.m.
2. Previous minutes:
Approval of Minutes: Tom Wagenknecht moved to approve the Minutes from the April 5th
Executive meeting. Dee Smith second.
Motion was approved.
3. Treasurers Report:
Treasurer’s report: Jim Segreto was absent,
Treasurer’s report was table.
4. Executive Director Report:
Ethel Lee was not present. She
submitted her report in writing.
5. New
Business: None
6. Old Business:

Business Directory Sign - Need to up date the sign at the trailhead.

Marketing -
Tammy Davis and Dee Smith will be attending a
meeting with Hubble Group on Marketing.
Discussion continued on marketing buildings for lease.
Branding and a direction to go for Branding was also discussed.
Hubble will be doing radio ads for there development,
does the chamber want to join them in the ads? Shar Pardubsky would
like to get a small committee with city, school and chamber to work on
these issues.
7. GDM
Partnership:

Washington DC Trip - Shar Pardubsky will
be going on the Washington DC trip next month.

Legislative
Session - Shar Pardubsky reported that the Iowa Legislative
Session is done. Schools
were not able to get the 1 cent sales tax passed.

Project Destiny - Project Destiny, is in
the Education mode. All
towns have adopted the Destiny 28E agreement or local option sales tax
except for Adel, Dexter, Waukee and Woodward.
